About Me

By now I honestly need a personal assistant to answer to all requests I receive. So if you have no references and you send me a request of two lines just to let you know dont bother, I will decline.
Also I do not accept requests of people that are coming to live in Lisbon. I know the rents are expensive but my place isnt an hostel.
Also women: I know you feel safer with a woman, but I wont host you just because you are a woman lol so besides you like me because I have the same gender as you, you need to tell me in which else we will connect, even more if you dont have references. If not your request will be declined right away. Believe me I am a feminist but also after hosting many men I believe in the good of all people and will not discriminate by gender or nationality. If I think you are cool and we will match in personality I couldnt care less about your gender, sexuality, background, etc. See beyond, feel beyond. Life isnt on the surface.
That said of course dont trust everybody in CS lol
There are some bad people out there unfortunately.

Lisbon is a beautiful city, you guys will fall in love with it!
______

The World show us that is worth to stick around if we are brave enough to do better, to be better...

I am a philosopher at heart, but I am, of course, more than that. While my profile is a bit too philosophical, I have to add that I am also one of the people you will meet with the loudest laughter.
That said, back to the philosophical side:

I am everything and nothing*
Some days introvert, some days extrovert, talkative but love the silence, funny and serious, quiet and loud, spontaneous and organized...

Nature is my god*
Love adventures*
Trying to be a free soul and spirit in a world that cage us since our first breath.

Have a love/hate relationship with humanity. My thing is to do the opposite of what the majority is doing. Sometimes is cool other times is just stupid, but I do it anyway.

My mind is everywhere, but my body goes slow. I love to observe all the details about being alive. And if I can, I love to live a little bit of everyone's lives.
Wherever I am, I am home. Thats probably my biggest achievement.

You can think is all about how many countries you visited but not really. Its about how many great laughters, how many hugs, how many magical conversations, how many beautiful souls you met. Dont go fast, you learn nothing. Go slow, enjoy the moment, get to know the people, learn the language, be present.
Being present is one of the most difficult but yet fulfilling things of our times. Tenho dito. Ah ah As I said philosopher at heart.

Should I say that I am a vegetarian? I am. I dont mind people with different perspectives and ideas about this but this is a decision for life so I appreciate respect and understanding.

On another note:

Yes, I do have negative references and I dont need to hide them. Mainly because my positive references shine so much! But important to say: I have a strong personality and I have no problems in sharing my opinion about everything. What happens is that is impossible that we all like each other and I am in peace with that. We are in CS because we love the world and the people in it but, lets be honest we dont love everybody. I can be neutral if necessary but I dont fake, so yeah my negative references come for not connecting with some people, we didnt vibe the same way, our souls were in different planets and that should be okay. Its sad that sometimes people get so upset for the smaller things. So yeah I embrace my negative references. Because they are also part of who I am.

Peace*

"Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away."

"Não sou nada. Nunca serei nada. Não posso querer ser nada. À parte isso tenho em mim todos os sonhos do mundo."
Fernando Pessoa

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I dont know how to be happy without deep connections with people. When I travel I need to have those connections with the locals, thats the only way that makes sense to me.
I cannot thank enough to all the amazing people that I met through CS.
Its always my wish to see them again one day!

Now as a host I hope I can show you how beautiful Lisbon is and share with you a bit of the Portuguese culture and language, even though I have to warn you that I am a lot different from many Portuguese people and not a role model of the Portuguese culture in almost any way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not too long ago a Couchsurfer that I hosted and loved to meet asked me a really interesting question: "How many lives have you lived?" I kept counting. Oh so many! Would not change a thing:

To achieve to walk more than 200 kms by myself in the south-West coast of Portugal*

Traveled India alone for 1 month and 2 weeks*

Survived 4 months working in a cruise with no days off*

Felt what is the meaning of Paradise, at 7 am in a deserted beach in Costa Rica*

Lived for one week in a self-sustainable community in Portugal, I learned so much that I cannot put everything into words*

Got lost in Brazil for more than 2 months, so many adventures, so many amazing people, so many life lessons...

Saw the night sky in Namibia, never saw so many stars in my life. So beautiful!

The sunrise on top of dune 45 in Namibia!

The safaris in South Africa and Namibia! All those beautiful wild animals...

Published a book. Still wondering how, when, who... But at the same time so happy about it!

Watched the sunset in Albania while listening to "The Nights" by Aviici. Such a beautiful moment.

Survived the lowest temperature in my life (-17 degrees) in Norway.

Fell in love with Lofoten, Norway and saw an aurora!!

Understood that traveling has much more meaning when we do it to hug friends or people we enjoyed meeting before.

It was only one, right? xD

Countries I’ve Visited

Albania, Andorra, Argentina, Austria, Bahamas, Brazil, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Italy, Monaco, Morocco, Namibia, Netherlands, Norway, Paraguay, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States
