My friends would (I hope!) say that I'm friendly, inquisitive, easy to talk to, love to laugh, and have an interest in 'everything' lol. I'm passionate about equality and making the world a little bit better than when I came into it.

I love music of all different genres and from every part of the world from Cape Verdean Morna, Classical Arabic, to British Jazz. I trained in classical singing for seven years as a soprano which was fun - though I'm not sure I can still hit the high notes lol. If you introduce me to some great music I will be grateful. BUT if you take me to a gig/concert/live music venue then we'll probably become firm friends. I also love books, poetry, the theatre, world cinema, long walks, hiking, and a nice, long chat over some tea.

I love discovering new places, meeting new people, and learning about different cultures. When I travel I like to go beyond the 'tourist trail' and get an authentic feel of a place.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been on Couchsurfing for over ten years and have met some incredibly brilliant people who I still keep in touch with. I've been lucky enough to be hosted, and have had the privilege of meeting travellers here in London. I promised the 'Couchsurfing gods' that I would one day return the favour and host travellers when I got a place large enough for guests, so here I am...

I cannot always host or meet up, but send me a message and let's see what happens. I would like to say that I only plan on hosting 1) females (no offence gentleman), 2) with at least 1 review from a host. If you'd like to meet up in London then any gender may apply :) I'm usually busy on weekdays but should be available on the weekends.

Scuba diving off the coast of Mexico. It's not THE most amazing thing I've done, but I was proud of myself as I used to have an irrational fear of water.
