ABOUT ME

I grew up in a small town nestled in limestone bluffs and surrounded by rivers, which instilled a large appreciation for the outdoors. I enjoy anything that requires my presence outside.... biking, camping, fishing, hiking, rock climbing, backpacking, gardening, dancing, swimming etc. I had started my adult life with the goal of becoming an art teacher and as the years and experience has built, I am now focused on using my skills in less developed countries, helping to insure food security. My first attempt will be in Uganda this summer, teaching and working on community development projects.

books: anything by hermann hesse, the lemon tree, three cups of tea, the unmentionable world of human waste and why it matters, small is beautiful, the devil in the white city....movies: the princess bride and noi are two of my favorite movies..recently taken up reading non-fiction books and watching documentaries... music: joni mitchell, rodrigo y gabriela, bob dylan, woody guthrie, bob marley, sufjan stevens, kimya dawson, the white stripes...i like almost everything except heavy death metal, if it's good it's good
