ABOUT ME

I do my best to live mindfully and be compassionate. I like meeting new people and am at my happiest when I am out in the world. I have found a calling through working with clients and am pursuing law as a field of study.

I am starting a new chapter in my life as I leave San Diego and travel up to Spokane to study for the LSAT and help out the parents with their farm. But I am hoping to have some fun and do some couchsurfing along the way!!

PHILOSOPHY

I have spent much too long in a survivor mind frame, and not enough time living each moment to the fullest, so they say. My favorite moments are those which I remember being completely attune and happy with myself and my surrounding, and really thriving. I live to thrive - to go beyond survival and live the best life that I know is out there for me.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am looking to surf some couches through California and the Pacific Northwest.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am still really new, and have yet to couchsurf solo. I have been couch surfing in Mexico with my friend a few years ago who introduced me to the site. We were staying with two other couch surfers, and meeting them was great. I had such a good experience surfing with those who live in Mexico. I look forward to more great experiences.

I am interested in politics and art; in most forms. I like binge watching Netflix and a nice glass of red wine to relax. I love the beach. I like to learn.

I have been listening to my No Doubt and Bowling for Soup Pandora stations lately. Also, very much enjoying reggae. I love hearing new music, and have a softspot for alternative and electronica.

I just finished Orange is the New Black S2 and thought it was great. I also enjoy S7 of Doctor Who and House of Cards.

I have been reading some Stephen King - but mainly reading blogs such as HuffPost and NPR, also PolicyMic. I own a lot of academic books about heady subjects, and pick those up sometimes, but also love a good fantasy/ adventure story.

I went to Burning Man in 2013 - which was one of my most amazing adventures! I have hiked the Inca Trail into Machu Picchu - amazing in a whole different way!

I love to learn. I've completed my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training, and have learned so much through that. I am interested in picking up more skills in backpacking. I am also interested in meeting those interested in academics, as I am pursuing a JD/MPA.
