Hi my name's Aaron!

I'm a 25 year old British guy doing a bit of volunteering (wwoofing) while I travel around around Canada! I've been here since February, travelling and job searching! I work in the UK as a games designer and i'm looking to break into the industry in Canada!

I'm very social and easy going, love getting to know people and share stories. I'm tidy, respectful of others, and as polite as any Brit would be!

I'm over here for at least a year with a work visa (IEC) and want to get to know the real Canada by meeting real people and discovering what Canada's all about!

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I don't want to get to a city and hold up in some boring hotel or hostel. I want to meet some Canadians! I'm a social guy and I'd love to chat and learn about the place I'm staying from someone local, meet new people and hopefully repay the favour if they wanted to visit England when I get home :)

I'm new to couchsurfing but only heard good things so thought why not jump in!

Interessen

I'm a pretty techy kinda guy normally playing video games and never being to far from my computer. But since coming to Canada I've had an awesome time just exploring the trails, hiking, kayaking and just being outdoors! I'm pretty open minded to everything these days. I've done a lot of gardening, farming and construction on my wwoofing adventure so far and I've really loved getting my hands dirty! I'm still partial to a few games of Mario Kart though! And every night is board game night :)

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I've still got a soft spot for rock and indie music. But again I'm pretty open minded. To list a few on my playlist at the moment:

Movies I do like my thrillers! But tend to go for anything interesting that makes you think or so bad it's good! A few that spring to mind: The Matrix, Shawshank Redemption, Forest Gump, Momento, Cloud Atlas, Alien, Fight Club, The Raid, All the studio Ghibli films (Nausica is my personal favourite)

I'm not a massive reader but when i get my teeth into something I get hooked really easily! Recently read Lord of the flies for the first time after years of meaning to. Want to get some more classics under my belt as i'm without a book at the moment!

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Me and my best friend went on an epic road trip in the US from Miami to New York. Stayed with some awesome people, saw some amazing things (Driving through the West Virginia mountains was just...wow) and camped out in national parks along the way!

I can show you how to juggle (a bit... only 3 things!). And also share my wisdom of the games industry and what goes into making big budget video games.

My British charm and dry sense of humour! I'm also pretty tech savy (and know a fair bit about gardening now as well). So if anyone has any computer problems, I'M ON IT! I'm also a pro at doing the dishes, and making a perfect cup of tea like a proper British gentleman (not to brag or anything..)
