About Me

I try to smile as often as I can and I'm trying to take in as much as I can as a student and interested young adult. I want to explore the world and I'm learning alot about myself as I get older. I am interested in trying new foods and I can sit still for hours just reading a good book. I work in financial aid at my college so if you have any questions let me know:)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

At the moment I am on couch surfing to try and get to northern California. Unfortunately I still live at home and cannot have visitors over yet but once I do have my own place I'll be hosting as well. I just want to live simply and simply travel:) any way I can and the first way that I'm going to do it is by trying to get to Northern California, Specifically Napa California using my own two feet. It'll be a first for me so I'm excited:)

Interests

I love a good adventure book. I love to philosophize and think outside the box about everything. I'm trying to learn how to play the guitar and the ukulele. I have some tunes down but lyrics are still not my forte.. I'm still a beginner but some of my tunes sound pretty smooth so I may be able to play you something.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love the strokes, the shins and Rodrigo Amarante at the moment. NPR actually has a channel for Tiny Desk Concerts which is where I had found some great music as well and I listen to playlists from this channel quite often. My favorite movie is probably going to be Casa Blanca because of one of my old friends and because its a movie that romanticizes love, war and gambling. My favorite book at the moment is Kurt Vonnegut. I've read a couple of his books but I don't think I've read one I haven't like. Blue Beard is the most recent one I've read.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got to live in Napa Valley with my Grandparents and my uncles and aunties in my grandparents retirement home helping to run the business. I would help drive clients around and I helped take care of my grandfather. I lived there for the summer of 2014 and it was just the right amount of time for me to realize how much I can grow living in a new environment.

Teach, Learn, Share

I work in financial aid at College of the Canyons and may be able to help you with any related questions:) I also know how to edit videos. I'm familiar with adobe premiere so if you need to put something together, I love editing. I want to learn more about culture, I love different music and politics are a must know and would love to communicate about the world affairs.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I don't like a dirty house so I try to help with the dishes as often as I can. I like to stay neat. I also walk dogs as a small business that I do on the side and can walk with your dogs:)
