Overview
About Me
I caught the travel bug after moving to Ireland but I didn't start couchsurfing until a trip to Berlin in 2018. It completely changed my travel philosophy and it's hard to imagine traveling without it now. I love being able to explore the world from home by hosting people!
I'm labour and human rights lawyer. I've represented nurses, plumbers, nurses, engineers, university professors, firefighters, black jack dealers, call centre staff, and all sorts of other workers. The work has brought me all over Canada (even the northern territories).
When I'm not working or travelling, I like to explore the city on my bike, search out food festivals in the summer, enjoy live music, and attend live sports. When I'm travelling in a part of the world where soccer is popular (pretty much any place other than Canada), I try to attend a match. I also get a little antsy when I'm not exercising, so I'd be happy to take you on a guided running or cycling tour of my neighbourhood or even the city if you're feeling ambitious.
Je parle anglais et français.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Aside from discovering new foods, meeting new people is my favourite part of travelling. I'm looking to stay with hosts who like to hang out with their guests and possibly take them to local music and art shows. Basically, so I can do things that people don't get to experience when they stay in a hostel.
Interests
When it comes to traveling, food is my main interest! I love trying new dishes and then trying to recreate them at home.
Otherwise, I'm a big political junkie and can tell you all about the quirks of Canada's political system.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books - very eclectic, but I love Canadian authors Mordecai Richler and Margaret Atwood. I really like the whole dystopian/sci-fi thing. The goldfinch is also great.
My favourite movies are Star Wars and Back to the Future.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Running a marathon two weeks after catching COVID.
Teach, Learn, Share
In your request, please tell me the name of your favourite book or dish from your country so that I know you've read my profile. I don't host people who don't read my profile. (This is also why I tend to host mostly women, as they tend to do a little more research before asking to stay with a rando guy from the internet)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share travel stories, cook good food, walk your dog, whatever you need.
