I am couch surfing because I have heard great things from friends of mine who are on the site. They return from trips with wonderful stories of the awesome people they meet. I want to experience that and hopefully make friends I wouldn't have otherwise. I prefer not to pay an hospitality corporation to have a room I hardly use except to sleep and watch t.v. and prefer that others not pay corporations either.
