Hey there! My name is Aaron Morgan. I'm a Louisiana native, a science buff, and a bit of a nerd. I'm currently studying in Aachen, Germany for my master's in Biomedical Engineering.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My wife, Katie, has hosted a few travelers via couchsurfing. Well we finally moved to Germany together and we figured we should use the other side of the site: looking for cool places to visit and interesting people to meet.

Interests

If I am going to be honest with myself, I spend most of my time playing video games. Aside from that, I am very interested in anything science and technology related. If you wanna chat about anything like that, I'm your guy. I'm also a big fan of active activities, like sports, hiking, etc. I've also just started Jiu Jitsu, which is a lot of fun.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I listen to anything aside from country. I've been on a bit of a trap binge lately. I'm usually listening to Blues, Metal, or Electronic music. I'm also a fan of acoustic guitarists.

Movies: I'm actually not a huge movie guy but I have some favorites. 'Snatch', 'Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels', 'Fight Club' to name a few.

Books: My favorite series is definitely "The Name of the Wind" by Patrick Rothfuss. I'm a huge fantasy fan. "Stormlight Archives" is another favorite of mine. I've read a lot of the Drizzt books, Dragonriders of Pern, Dune, Lord of the Rings, etc, etc. If it's core fantasy, I've probably at least tried to read it. (Not gonna lie, had to take a break from LotR. It's a long read.)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmm... this is hard. I'm bad at bragging. I did a handstand on top of a mountain one time and got a sweet picture. I guess that is amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm pretty handy. I can fix a lot of things. If you need help with Math, I can probably help you with that, too. I do really enjoy learning, though. If you have anything that you can teach me, I'm always ready to learn.

Also, I can juggle. Kind of.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to think that I'm, at least, a mildly interesting person and I'd love to hang out with new, at least, mildly interesting people. If you want someone who will ask you more questions than you thought possible, who may take all your money if we play poker, who might spank you at your video game of choice, then you might want me.

I hope we get to hang some time.
