Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I want to meet some people from the Halle region and try to make new friends during my short stay.
ABOUT ME
I'm somewhat shy and introverted, but I'm also adventurous and like to try new things.
PHILOSOPHY
I think that everyone is good and that if you don't like how someone is behaving there is normally a good reason for their behavior and you would probably behave the same way under the same circumstances. So it's good to get to know people better before judging them. I also think that love is a good thing and that people should try to cultivate all three versions of it: self-love, acknowledgement of others love, and love for those around them. And finally I like this advice: "rest transparently in the Spirit which gives us rise".
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I want to participate in any way possible. I think I probably have enough room for a single person to sleepover for a night or two.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm new to this, so I will update it once I have got some more experience.
Interests
I like to try and make sense of the world. So I'm constantly looking for new ideas. For instance, the relationship between time reversal symmetry in physics and the concept of life or the relationship between bootstrapping in computer science and the evolution of the universe.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: GEB, The Catcher in the Rye, and Great Expectations.
Movies: Synecdoche, New York; The King of Comedy; Dead Ringers; Le Samouraï; Mulholland Drive; Pi; Eyes Wide Shut; and Solaris (original). {sorry if this list seems pretentious, but I really am a big movie buff}
Shows: House, Peep Show, IT Crowd, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Deadwood.
Music: Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Bach, Mozart, Boards of Canada, Massive Attack, Kurt Vile, Beach House, Neil Young, and all the music made by people in my family, especially Anna Maria Kaufmann.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Unfortunately most of the amazing things I've seen have been in movies. I've done a lot of traveling though and have seen a lot of old buildings, churches, and museums. I guess in that regard the coliseum was probably the most amazing thing I've seen. And the most amazing thing I've done was build an autonomous racing robot.
Teach, Learn, Share
I happen to be a big skateboard nerd; so I can tell you anything you want to know about the sport and show you how to do a kickflip.
Countries I’ve Visited
