ABOUT ME

I love people. Meeting new people, sharing experiences and ideas. I feel like life is all about the experiences you share, and the lives you touch. I am also an art, design and animation nerd. I love movies and music... especially live music! I like playing games - anything outdoor and board/card games are cool. Have you played settlers?

I originally moved to Austin to worked as an animator on "A Scanner Darkly" and have since become a freelance illustrator/artist/animator/muralist. I love Austin!

PHILOSOPHY

Life is beautiful, exciting and not to be wasted. Live for inspiration and experience life to the max! Don't sweat the small stuff and be spontaneous.

Everything I experience I take back with me to my studio and use for inspiration for my art. I love to take pictures and use people or imagery I know in my paintings. It creates a deeper connection in my work and keeps it fresh.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have a house that is close to downtown and occasionally we have opportunities for people to stay with us. I like to meet new people, hear their stories and share new experiences.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Nothing but great experiences so far!

I stayed in an apartment blocks away from the Louvre in Paris and our host even sold me his flash memory card cuz my camara filled up. He gave me a crazy cheap price and told us all about the town.

The people we've hosted have been friendly, easy to get along with and trustworthy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Even though I am American, I was born in Lebanon and lived the first part of life through the war there. Then I moved to the island of Cyprus for 10 years - which I loved. We got to see much of the middle east including the pyramids, the Dead Sea, and Petra. I miss the food there!
