I am moving to New Zealand in February to experience life on the road for a year or two

ABOUT ME

I'm told that I am rather mellow and with a good sense of humor. I love learning and having dialog with good company. Hmm, what else to say? I just asked my friend how he would briefly describe me, and he responded with, "Spitz is a very good person." I think I'll leave it at that and leave you with an air of mystery and intrigue that will entice you, the potential couch provider, to invite me in to learn more!

Push your own physical and mental boundaries constantly and don't settle for a life of complacency. You don't know what you could be missing! Never stop learning; be curious and ask questions. Show humility and love, never bring yourself up by tearing others down.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have only hosted once before when I had a spare bedroom. I'm moving to NZ and want to spend the first few months exploring the country before I run out of money and start working, so couch surfing seems like a great way to stretch my budget and meet new people :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My girlfriend and I hosted a traveling musician when he came to town for some gigs. It was fun!

Interests

I like to get out and go hiking and camping as often as I can. My main hobbies include homebrewing and fishing. Over the last two years I have made it a goal to visit every hotspring in Oregon... I'm about halfway there! The nerd in me loves everything technology and science.

Music, Movies, and Books

I haven't read much lately, but I do enjoy classic literature and authors like Michael Crichton and David Sedaris.  Most of my favorite movies and shows are science fiction, comedy and of course good ol' manly action movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Most recently, being in Barcelona during the San Juan festival was a bit of a mindbender.

I work on computers and have an expertise in networking... if your wifi keeps buggin' out, I can probably fix that for ya.
