About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm an adventurous, outgoing, friendly guy always searching for new experiences. My friends describe me as upbeat, eccentric, friendly, and opinionated. I'm quite American. I lean on walls, I love iced drinks, I smile (and wave) at strangers, and I hold eye contact pretty intensely.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love to meet new people while traveling. This is one way to do so. I'd like to host once I have the chance.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couch surfed a bit. It's a good way to meet new people. It also forces you to try languages.

Interests

Really, above all, my interests revolve around learning. I like learning about language, culture, chess, how to socialize, etc. I just like learning. Undoubtedly, we will get along very well if you feel the same about learning about this and that.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a wide variety of music, but I definitely listen to a lot of midwest emo, math rock type stuff.

The truth is that I don't read for fun very much any more. The books I own are mostly for learning, not for pleasure. I remember books like "The Scarlett Letter" and "The Giver" well. My favorite poet is Emily Dickinson, but it's not like I've been reading very much poetry as of late. I also don't remember too many movies with deep fondness, but I do have a soft spot for Tarantino.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've taught English in several different countries.

Teach, Learn, Share

Stories, fun times, lessons in language, cultural perspective, how to make soap, probably more. I love learning. Info dump on me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories, fun times, lessons in language, cultural perspective, how to make soap, some American cooking, a bit of cocktail craft.
