About Me

I was born and bred in Singapore (which means i know where the best food places are). I work in the community outreach sector with the local government and despite the rat race, i try my best to traverse the world with whatever little pockets of time i can find!

Always up for a great conversation (especially if you're a fantastic storyteller) and more than game to show people around (beers included)! If you're into dance, i have been an indian classical dancer since i was 4 and would be happy to help you bust a move!

Please note that at the moment I live with my Mother so I only host females :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been travelling solo and apps like these help make getting around, meeting amazing people with brilliant stories and getting advice so much easier. I also absolutely enjoy spreading the good travellers karma I have been so blessed to receive all over the world so far!

Interests

I have a low attention span so everything excites and interests me!

Music, Movies, and Books

I am currently on a geeky adventure to try and read a book from every single country in the world (how am i faring? you've got to ask me). So if you are a bookworm like me, do share an amazing book reference from your country by a local author and i would love to read it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My experiences pale in comparison to the rest of what's out there on CS but i did manage to learn how to swim, cycle and play the guitar in the span of a year (at the grand age of 29, do not judge). Am i good at any of those things? Only
one way to find out.

Teach, Learn, Share

If i had any advice for someone visiting Singapore, i'd encourage you to put aside all the talk you've heard about Singapore being highly sanitised, boring and culture-less. Yea we can be a little bit of all of that (but we are a tiny capital/country with no natural resources). But if you do want to absolutely have a lot of fun and see a completely different side to the country, there is plenty to do too (Arab Street, Thieves Market, Waterloo Street, Pulau Ubin, St. John's Island and a lot more).

Of course if you are here to see the MBS, i will not judge you but i will make fun of you a lot (kidding, it's a nice view).

What I Can Share with Hosts

If I am free, i would be happy to show you around or help you plan your trip (with as much local flavour, sugar, spice and everything nice that you would deem necessary). Otherwise, I will be happy to share any advice or recommendations you might need. As i do not live alone, hosting might be tougher but i wouldn't completely write it off the books!
