ABOUT ME
I´m studying for my PhD in German literature at Indiana University in the USA. I love that they let me read books for a living, and explain German grammar to students. It´s a dream job, and I also get to travel during the summer.
I'll be spending 2011-2012 in Berlin, taking classes and getting ready to work on my dissertation.
I'm very laid back, very relaxed, and always eager to experience something new.
PHILOSOPHY
I think that the death of hospitality traditions is one of the greatest threats to the modern world. This is a way to keep that from happening -- when you are willing to place your complete trust in a stranger, you prove for a moment that we are capable of the most beautiful things.
Interests
I love reading and writing and talking about books -- anything German or Icelandic especially; I am perhaps too big a fan of soccer, especially the German Bundesliga; I play tennis for fun (but poorly) and also enjoy long-distance running.
