Overview
About Me
When I'm not immersed in my work as a data modeler, I love exploring different cultures, capturing moments through photography and videography, and writing a fantasy novel.
I live in the US, but with the flexibility to work remotely I’m able to pursue my passion for travel. I’m especially drawn to Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing to meet new people and experience different cultures. Being in the Midwest has made it challenging to connect with like-minded individuals, so I'm excited to make new friends and share adventures with fellow travelers.
Interests
I love experimenting with different ingredients to create healthy meals quickly. Exploring the great outdoors through hiking, swimming, and playing tennis keeps me active. I'm an avid reader, delving into topics like self-development, psychology, sociology, and history to understand human nature better.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was 22, I applied for a US student visa in Dubai, as there's no US Embassy in Iran. After my visa was approved, I traveled to Dubai to pick it up, only to find out there was a 7-day national holiday delaying the process. Running out of money and being kicked out of my hotel, I had to survive in Dubai for 10 more days without my passport. This turned into an incredible adventure where I learned to live on a limited budget, made new friends, and explored parts of the city I would have otherwise missed. It was a transformative experience that taught me resilience and the joy of solo exploration.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you about the life of an immigrant, and share insights about Iran, its culture, politics, and the prospect of a better future for all its people. If you have any questions about science and technology, chances are I've either studied it academically or would be happy to read some papers and find the answers for you. I would love to learn about people from different cultures, hear their stories, and connect with them. I also enjoy having deep intellectual conversations.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can offer hosts a friendly and respectful guest who enjoys sharing stories and experiences. I’m also happy to assist with any tech-related issues you might have. If it’s socially acceptable, I’d be glad to cover the cost of any activities we do together—whether it’s dining out, attending a show, or transportation. This way, I can encourage you to join me in exploring the city or even become a future travel partner!
