About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoy life, live and let live

ABOUT ME

Well we have finally opened our Bed and Breakfast so unfortunately I will have to leave the couch surfing side as we need to make money (unfortunately). But if you are passing through come and say hello.
Maryborough is an old river port town - lots of lovely old buildings and the best display of original 'Queenslander' homes. We are about half an hour from Hervey Bay, if you want to go to the beach, whale watching or visit Fraser Island.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in working for the greater good and try not to allow selfish ambition to take over. Sometimes I lose, but hey that's being human.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Our experiences with people staying have all been very positive and I tell all my friends and co-workers about the site. Hope to go and stay at other surfers places too some time.

Interests

I enjoy reading, love gardening - and currently rebuilding the garden to reflect the house and create the right atmosphere. We had lots of rain for two years and it stopped the end of July and hasn't rained since so garden is a bit dry.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a good story, whether it be a movie or a book. If I'm going to escape into someone else's life it has to be interesting. Enjoy Margaret Atwood, Tim Winton, John Grisham.
Music has to be what the mood requires, sometimes very loud - depending on my need at the time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are a group of only 700 birds that arrive in New Zealand from the Arctic, and I came across a University team who were catching and tagging them. I got to let one go - a great feeling.

I have seen the full moon in Tierra Del Fuego.

Teach, Learn, Share

We like to interact and learn about our visitors. But if we are busy you are still welcome.
