I am a junior in college and I am studying biology, anthropology and forensic science. I'm studying abroad this semester in New Zealand then backpacking around Australia once the semester ends. I've always been interested in traveling the world and this is my first big step. I'm very excited to meet new people, create new memories and broaden my horizons.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've never gotten to do something like this before and I'm looking forward to meeting new people. One of the most amazing things about travel is meeting people along the way and maybe even creating lasting friendships. Spending time with people who are from the area is a great way to get the most out of traveling. I can't wait to share new experiences with a wide variety of people.

Interests

I love animals and children but I don't know what I want to be when I grow up. In my spare time, if I have any, I enjoy reading, watching movies and hanging out with my friends. I really love to spend time outdoors, whether its readying in my hammock on a sunny day or hiking through the woods. I also love everything about the sky from sunset to sunrise. I love watching storms and laying out under the stars. I'm up for just about any adventure. Once I graduate from college it is my goal to join the Peace Corps and help people in any way that I can.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a wide variety of music. I'm always open to try something new and share some of my favorite bands. Action and comedy movies definitely my favorite. I have a soft spot for any Marvel movie, but I also love DC. I'm also a huge fan of Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Moulin Rouge, Doctor Who, Fringe and so many others. My list of books is very long, but my current favorite is a fantasy trilogy called "The Kingkiller Chronicle." I also love murder mysteries, suspense novels and survival stories.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was recently certified in scuba diving at the Bonne Terre Mine in St Louis, Missouri. I am looking forward to using this certification to dive on the Great Barrier Reef.
