To reach out to and to connect with people, especially with young children in a classroom setting.
After living in the Atlanta, GA area for 35 years I decided I needed to see and experience different people and places. So I decided to teach school overseas. Over eight years I've lived and taught in the Marshall Islands, Sierra Leone, Guatemala, Haiti, Mexico, Poland, and Panama. Fabulous experiences, adventures, and friends!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have couchsurfed and talked with many other couchsurfers from around the world. When I resettle after teaching and traveling I plan to host other couchsurfers again.
I find couchsurfing a great way to travel. I have gotten to know the most wonderful people from many, many parts of the world (including the Atlanta area) and as a result have been able to have experiences beyond being a typical tourist.
Working with children
Actually, I can think of very few things that do not interest me.
- classical music
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I absolutely love when a child has processed something we've discussed in class and he/she says or does something that reflects a conceptual and/or personal understanding.
