We are two. Christiane is austrian. She is a painter, photographer and journalist.
I am Moroccan-French. I grew-up in Morocco and lived for some 35 years in France (33 in Paris) where I studied and worked as a psychologist and head of social institutions for children protection.
I am also a photographer and a journalist.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

We travel a lot and appreciate especially to meet with people of the countries we visit. We also like to receive people and know new faces.

We can host up to two persons (3 for couples with a kid)

We offer also to guide you and give you any information to make you enjoy your stay in Vienna, one of the most beautiful cities of the world.

兴趣

We live in Vienna and like travels, discovering new countries and cultures, contacts with people. We both walk and bike somewhat ... We have been 6 times on Compostella's ways and ,in2015, we made a trip to Paris ( from Vienna ) on bike and even further until Saint Nazaire on the french atlantic coast.
A second bike trip from Vienna to Morocco in 2016, Couchsurfing as much as this was possible.
This second big bike trip , as well as the first, made us meet with great people.
Our bike trip (2017) was planned to take us from Vienna to the Black Sea. Because of technical problems with my bike, we did not reach our final target. We will do it again, because it was a great experience. Wonderful landscapes and a big variety of cultures. Unfortunately, we did not find a lot of people to host us. Only two times, in one month! It is not a lot comparing to our other tours. We noticed that a lot of the people that are in Couchsurfing are young, without any experience as couchsurfers, be it as hosts or guests in spite of the fact that they are registered sometimes since years. A lot of them don’t even respond to the requests. I don’t know but the real spirit of Couchsurfing is slowly slowly fading and that it needs some common réflexion to keep it going on.

We read a lot and like, according to inspiration and mood of the moment, to cook.

Morocco (Bensaidi, Ayouch, Reggab) Italy (Scola, De Sica, Fellini , Risi etc... )
We read a lot. Difficult to give categories. Any visit to a bookshop is a travel through countries and litteratures. Recent readings: Edgar Hilsenrath, Gabriel Garcia Marques, John Irving, Sartre, Elif Shafak, Khalid Hosseini Wagdi Moawad, Ibrahim Sonallah, Alaa Al Aswani., Fouad Laroui, Georges Orwel, Frank Thallis, Tom Sharpe, Carlos Ruiz Zafon, Murakami, Omar Khayyam and Rûmi etc
