Hey, I’m Kareem. I teach Languages for a living and collect hobbies for fun. I grew up between Algiers, Damascus, and Dubai, which basically means I was raised with couscous, shawarma, and Mandi.

I play a bunch of instruments, skateboard from time to time, and get way too excited about random cultural facts. I like deep conversations just as much as ridiculous ones, and I believe a good laugh can fix half of life’s problems.

I also run an online English learning project called Morpheme Education (@morpheme.education on Instagram), where I help people learn language in a way that’s human, natural, and connected to real life.

Because people are more interesting than landmarks. I love the idea of sharing space, stories, and snacks with someone I might never have met otherwise. Hosting and being hosted gives me the chance to experience cultures in the most real way possible.

Big fan of Tuareg blues, City-pop, Old School Rock, Old Rai, and anything that sounds like it came from a dusty cassette in a desert gas station. I like movies that mess with your head a little and don’t explain everything.

I camped in the middle of the Sahara in Djanet for 11 days. No signal, no rush, just stars, sand, and silence. It was the most peaceful experience I’ve ever had.

I can teach you Arabic (I speak a few dialects), jam with you if you play music, or introduce you to Algerian culture and food. I’m also happy to share language tips, stories from the road, or just chill over tea and music. If you’re curious about anything, I probably have a fun fact or a weird story for it.
