My name is Abdou. I am French and Senegalese, and I love to travel and expose myself to new cultures. I am currently doing a PhD at the University of Liverpool in England. This August, I'll be on Jeju Island from the 3rd to the 10th to present my research paper on collaborative human-AI intelligence at the IJCAI conference as part of my Ph.D. After Jeju, I plan to explore more of South Korea, Japan, and China, eager to experience these countries' rich histories and innovations.

Background:
Having lived in France, Senegal, Sweden, Germany, and now England, I've had the privilege of experiencing life from various perspectives. These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for diversity and the unique stories each person and place has to offer.

Although, I have not been on Couchsurfing for a while. I have many siblings and have lived with many roommates at uni. Being very tidy and super clean and respectful, I am sure I will be a pleasant guest :) I look forward to meeting new people, sharing stories, and creating memorable experiences on this journey.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a Ph.D. student, Couchsurfing fits perfectly with my budget-friendly travel style. But beyond saving money, I love the human connections and local insights that come with it. If I don't hang out with locals during my travel, I genuinely feel like I have missed out on the essence of the travel.
I'm looking forward to staying with welcoming hosts and friends.

Music-wise, I love R&B, rap, and zouk.

Movies and Series: there is a ton 😂. I am also a massive fan of mind-bending and horror movies, and anime as well. But one thing that I have recently watched and thoroughly enjoyed is “Parasyte”, both the anime and TV series.

Books: I heavily recommend “Atomic Habits”
