Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
gather experienced, since I think experiences shape our lives.
ABOUT ME
I am really not sure. I think witty and funny would be the obvious things, but also devoted to pursue my interests.
PHILOSOPHY
Kurt Godel once said something like "when it comes between logic and common sense I'd always choose logic, for what is common sense other than common." I truly believe this. It is rather important not to accept anything without first thinking about it. Morality, even if innate or evolutionary, should be questioned -- culture, norms, and laws even more so.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have never participated in couch surfer, but am looking forward to it.
Interests
I think the thing that engages me is a good problem to solve. I am a mathematician working as a programmer, and when I find a nice problem I try to spend day and night trying to solve it.
When I do not have a problem to solve, then I cook (I am always surprised when it comes out good), paint, and hang out with friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: it is difficult to read fiction for me. for non-fiction I like philosophy, math, and computer science books. I am very interested in philosophy in the dark ages, applied and abstract math, and any computer science book. Mostly, however, I read technical and survey papers.
Movies: I tend to not watch movies, but I liked the PhD movie, Mulan, ...
Shows: the Office, IT crowd, 10 o'clock live, QI, black adder, armstrong and miller, come fly with me, ... I love documentaries I watched all shows with Attenborough or Louis Theroux. I also love cartoons, especially ones that I used to watch when I was young.
Music: rai, folk, rock, and alternative. Also, anything that catches my ear.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- Backpacking through Europe (I went to Oxford, then to Slovakia, then to Austria, then to Czech, then to Spain, then to Morocco, then back to England) needless to say I started to miss the blandness and cornfields of the midwest towards the end of the journey.
- Working at Wolfram Research (It is my first job and there are no shortage of interesting and challenging problems that I can solve).
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach and help with anything related to technology.
