To experience as many of the beautiful sites, people, and ideas that this world has to offer. We are no more than our story in the end, so my goal is to live each day to its most fun, enlightening, or adventurous potential.

ABOUT ME

I am truly a complex and diverse woman. One part of me is on a deeply spiritual, peaceful path while the other is an adrenaline junky with a need for speed and adventure. One part of me is a lover of community of enriching people, making my home the central place for great food and hospitality, the other part of me is somewhat of a nomad and hop from place to place.

Despite this, I am a very passionate, loving and soulful person. I sing blues/soul/jazz and am picking up the drums fast; music beats on in my blood. I love photography, artful modeling, yoga/pilates, travel writing, dinner parties and diverse cuisine; little moments and big moments with people from all different backgrounds.

I graduated in Comparative Religious Studies and Anthropology which emphasized what we all have in common, rather than our differences and this is a deep-rooted philosophy in my mentality. I am not a religoius person, but enjoy holding witness to all different modes of transcendence (growing up we would go to Zen temple, Hindu temple, church, pagan celebrations of the seasons, etc). I would simply say that I am spiritual- and am high on life.

I'm surrounded by surfers and people who host; unofficially I am a very hospitable person who takes everyone in. Soon I will be surfing myself!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couch surfed twice, but my trip through Scandinavia will make me an expert I'm sure!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Pet a tiger; jumped off a 100 foot cliff into the sea; traveled by horseback into the smokey mountains for a week; sailed from Detroit to Mackinaw Islands; witnessed the Aurora Borealis; visited the indigenous tribes of north Thailand

What I Can Share with Hosts

I wide variety of sailing stories, I work on the high seas and sail for fun through the Bahamas, Canada and Mediterranean. I love cooking and having a good laugh. LOTS of travel/adventure stories.
