About Me

Hi there! I'm Abhijeet Sharma, currently pursuing my MBA from the prestigious ICFAI Business School in Gurgaon. I'm someone who finds joy in meaningful conversations, cultural exchanges, and creating lasting friendships with people from all walks of life. Meeting new people and learning about different perspectives energizes me—it's one of the reasons I love being part of the Couchsurfing community!

Outside of academics, I'm a passionate sports and fitness enthusiast. You’ll often find me playing badminton, volleyball, or cricket with friends—or on a yoga mat, practicing asanas and deep breathing. I’ve been exploring yoga for over a year now, and it has become an essential part of my lifestyle.

Travel is another love of mine. Whether it’s a short weekend getaway or an unplanned road trip, I’m always up for exploring new places, cultures, and cuisines whenever life gives me a window of opportunity.

As a host, I’m easygoing, respectful, and open-minded. I’d love to share stories, learn from your journey, and give you a warm, local experience in India. Whether it's exploring hidden gems around the city or simply enjoying tea and conversation at home, I'm excited to welcome travellers and make them feel at home.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing, for me, is much more than just a place to find a stay—it's a doorway to genuine human connections. I'm here because I truly enjoy meeting people from around the world, listening to their stories, sharing mine, and exchanging ideas, cultures, and experiences that broaden our understanding of the world.

I believe that every traveler brings a unique perspective, and I love learning from them—be it about their hometown traditions, travel adventures, or life philosophies. In return, I’m always excited to share the vibrant essence of Indian hospitality, food, and everyday life.

I also hope to find like-minded travel enthusiasts who are open to exploring destinations together. The idea of discovering the world not just through places, but through people, is what excites me the most.

Couchsurfing gives us the chance to break boundaries, make lifelong friendships, and see the world through each other’s eyes—and I’m here to make the most of that beautiful opportunity.

Music, Movies, and Books

I’ve always been fascinated by stories—especially those that spark imagination or stir the soul. I’m a big fan of science fiction movies that offer a glimpse into the future and make us wonder about what’s possible. And yes, I proudly belong to the Marvel fan club! The way those stories blend action, emotion, and futuristic concepts is something I truly enjoy.

At the same time, I’m deeply drawn to biographical films. Movies like Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, Chandu Champion, and Srikanth really speak to me. These real-life stories of determination, struggle, and triumph are incredibly inspiring. They remind us that with focus, resilience, and the right mindset, we can overcome any challenge life throws at us.

When it comes to music, I find peace and positivity in devotional songs. They have a calming effect on me and help me stay centered amidst the chaos of daily life. Whether it's a quiet morning or a reflective evening, devotional melodies are my go-to.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As a guest, I come with an open heart and a deep love for cultural exchange. I would love to share the richness of Indian culture—from traditions and festivals to the everyday beauty of our way of life. I can introduce you to Indian customs, stories, and perspectives that go beyond what you find in travel books.

Food is one of the best ways to connect, and I’d be more than happy to cook a traditional Indian meal for you or guide you through the flavors of our cuisine. If you're interested, I can also share a bit about yoga, Indian spirituality, and how we find balance through ancient practices.

Most of all, I believe in building genuine human connections. I’m always eager to make new friends, have meaningful conversations, and exchange life stories. Whether it's laughter over tea or a deep talk about dreams and life, I’m here to connect and grow through shared experiences.
