About Me

I’m Mura Abhilash Shalom — a tech-minded, easy-going person who recently started my own CCTV & Surveillance business. I love travelling, meeting new people, experiencing new cultures, and understanding different ways of living.

I enjoy studying and learning about people — their mentality, habits, lifestyle, and how culture shapes them. Every person I meet teaches me something new, and I love those meaningful exchanges.

I’m also a big food lover — from local street food to traditional home-cooked meals to trying new restaurants. Whether it’s spicy Indian food, coastal seafood, or something unique from another culture, I love exploring the story behind every dish.

Apart from food and culture, I enjoy music, movies, beaches, photography, long drives, and deep conversations. I’m friendly, respectful, open-minded, and always curious about the world. I believe every person has a story, and Couchsurfing is a beautiful way to share travel, culture, and positive vibes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing to connect with people from different countries, cultures, and backgrounds. I want to learn how others live, think, and see the world — their habits, mentality, traditions, and stories. Traveling is not just about places for me; it’s about people. Couchsurfing gives me the chance to meet open-minded travellers, share food, ideas, and experiences, and build real friendships across the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

🎵 Music:
I play the Bass Guitar (certified by Nathaniel Music School, Bangalore) and I also play the keyboard — not an expert, but I enjoy learning and improving. I like exploring different styles of music and I enjoy melodies from various cultures.

🎬 Movies:
I love watching my favourite movies again and again. My all-time favourites are Jurassic Park 1 & 2, World War Z, and Terminator. I enjoy action, science fiction, and movies with strong adventure themes.

📺 Web Series:
I like intense and engaging series like Game of Thrones (GOT), The Walking Dead, and Family Man.

📚 Books:
Honestly, I’m not much into reading right now — I get bored if I read for too long. But I hope that in my older age, I’ll develop a peaceful habit of reading books regularly.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once went on a long solo road trip with no fixed plan — just the road, new places, and random people I met along the way. That journey taught me confidence, patience, and true freedom.

Through my travels, I’ve met people from many backgrounds and cultures. One amazing thing I’ve experienced is learning to understand their mentality, lifestyle, and stories. It completely changed the way I see the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

🧑‍🏫 Teach:
I can share what I know about music — especially beginner bass guitar and keyboard. I’m not a pro, but I can teach simple chords, rhythms, and help someone start playing. I can also share my travel experiences and what I’ve learned about people and different cultures.

📚 Learn:
I love learning about new cultures, people’s mentality, lifestyle, habits, and the stories behind them. I’m always interested in learning new languages, local food, and anything unique from someone’s culture.

🤝 Share:
I enjoy sharing good conversations, travel stories, food experiences, music, and positive vibes. I like connecting deeply with people and exchanging ideas about life, culture, and the world.

✅ My Philosophy

Time can change everything — heal, teach, and even erase things we once thought were permanent. And I believe forgiveness is one of the greatest gifts God has given us. Life becomes lighter and more peaceful when we learn to let go and forgive.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can also share my positive energy, respect for your space, and a friendly attitude. If you enjoy music, we can jam a bit — I can play simple bass or keyboard parts. And if you love food, I’m always happy to explore local dishes together or share my favorite Indian food experiences.

Most of all, I can share honesty, kindness, and a meaningful connection — the things that make Couchsurfing special.
