Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I find myself amazed at the thought of a global community coming together in-spite of all the worldly differences. It's always good hear experiences from people travelling around. I like to gain knowledge from different parts of the world before I go see it all.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went trekking on the Kheer Ganga in Himachal Pradesh during winter of `14. It was almost the ending time of winter, so the ice was just melting and it was all slippery. We started a little late in the afternoon. The darkness of the cloudy night dawned upon us and we had no clue which way to go. We were completely unprepared for such a scenario. With little support from the wooden sticks and frozen feet, we were heading towards the darkness in the snow and the rain. With the phone torch we survived the night but slippery ice was a devil. I still remember the moonlit mountain when we reached the destination. People were surprised to see us at that hour and we were exhausted to explain it to them. We crashed near the fireplace. It was a life time experience. The beauty of the place didn't let us go. Nice people and simple food. The hot springs near the Lord Shiva's temple is truly a gift from him after all that!

I feel that spirituality comes from within and that is boundless to any single entity. I redefine my personality every time someone or something inspires me for the good and I strongly believe that's the way a person can evolve.
