关于我
*NOTE: You must have a car to access my place. It's up on a mountain and there's a bus that only runs once an hour. All-wheel drive and snow tires highly recommended.*
Hello! I'm Abi and I feel like I've been traveling my whole life. After moving around a lot as a kid (born in Philadelphia, lived briefly in Toronto, went to high school in Chicago), I went to college in Los Angeles, moved back to Chicago to work in social service (assisting people who are homeless in finding employment and other resources), then moved to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado to work in the ski industry. I love playing guitar, meeting new people, and learning about myself and the world.
我为什么加入 Couchsurfing
As part of a Jewish program called Moishe House, my roommates and I hosted hundreds of guests over the last few years. Recently, I traveled in Central and Eastern Europe and met some wonderful Couchsurfers all over the world. I'd love to give back and host people here in Colorado.
兴趣
Since I was young, I've been involved in Jewish communities throughout the US, Canada, and Israel. I'm passionate about spirituality and study and love to connect with others who enjoy a great conversation. I also love walking around, eating ice cream, and staying up too late at night.
音乐、电影和书籍
Some of my favorite books: A Tree Grows in Brooklyn (Betty Smith), The City & The City (China Mieville), Ender's Game (Orson Scott Card), An Invisible Sign of My Own (Aimee Bender), Look at Me (Jennifer Egan), The Magicians (Lev Grossman), all the Harry Potter books (duh), many others!
我做过的一件不可思议的事情
I quit my job, moved to Colorado, and learned how to ski!
