ABOUT ME

HI! I'm Abi

Quick Version: Born in England, raised in New Zealand, only to move to Dubai while studying in Sydney. Then back to New Zealand for some more of that study, only to have an opportunity to do so in England, while living in a castle. Alas, we are back at the beginning (although I did not live in an English castle before)!!!

Moving around has given me opportunities to travel to some incredible places, and made me excited to see more. I have learnt to be flexible, open to new things and embrace challenges. I love getting to know people, and especially getting to know new places and ways of life. I am so incredibly excited about being so close to Europe (NZ is so far away from anything), and am really looking forward to making new friends.

-As I am not at home in NZ I do not have a couch to offer, but will do so when I return in 6 Months!

PHILOSOPHY

Today's ceiling is tomorrows floor. I'm totally about making the most of every day - in a non cheesy way - and planning the direction but improvising the route.

Love getting involved in everyday life, no matter what that entails!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Thus far I have not participated in an "official" couch surfing experience, but I have slept on plenty of friends/acquaintances' couches and have many sleep on mine! Sometimes they are even comfier that previous beds I have had. A good friend has recently couch-surfed her way through Europe and has some incredible stories so really looking forward to jumping onboard!

Interests

Music, Food, Dancing, Hanging out/chatting, the outdoors, getting to know peoples stories, and I am a big fan of history especially as NZ does not have much of it!

Everything. And I genuinely mean everything. Except silent movies - because I always wonder what their voices sound like.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Night Skiing in the Dolomites, Italy. One of the most strangest/funniest things I have ever done. We all skied down with flashing sunglasses and I was laughing so hard I crashed many times.
