Overview
About Me
My name is Abiola Onasoga, a health and development worker from Nigeria. I work with a non-governmental organization, Planned Parenthood Federation of Nigeria, where I am involved in advancing health and wellbeing initiatives.
I enjoy traveling, meeting new people, and socializing. I joined Couchsurfing because it will give me the opportunity to connect with people from different backgrounds, learn about diverse cultures, and build meaningful relationships while I travel.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I joined Couchsurfing to have access to a safe and comfortable space for short stays whenever I travel. Beyond that, I value the opportunity to connect with people from different backgrounds, learn about their cultures, and truly understand and appreciate the diversity of the places I visit.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy listening to music by Celine Dion, watching romantic movies, and reading books focused on career growth and personal development.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing thing I have done is writing an abstract titled “From Crisis to Continuity: Upholding Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights for All in BAY (Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe) States, Nigeria.” This is the work I will be presenting at the ANSER 2026 Conference holding in Brussels, Belgium from 6th to 8th May, 2026.
Teach, Learn, Share
I believe in a simple philosophy of teach, learn, and share. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experiences with others, while also staying open to learning from people, cultures, and new perspectives. Every interaction is an opportunity to teach something meaningful, learn something valuable, and share in a way that creates mutual growth and understanding.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would be happy to share Nigerian culture, meaningful conversations, and my experiences in public health and development work, while also learning from my host’s culture and perspectives. I value mutual respect, good communication, and positive cultural exchange.
