About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Ski Backcountry, Read Books, Eat Pizza, Drink Red Wine

ABOUT ME

I'm into a lot of things. I play drums, I play guitar, I sometimes right 2 part vocal harmonies for fun. I like doing covers of old school punk rock. But Im also interested in weird folk, hip hop, garage rock, stripped down, raw blues, dark psychedelia, dub step, art pop, Well anyway you get the idea, Im down for whatever, but jam bands annoy me. A motivated, self starter, I'll often spend my time skinning up big lines to ski down. I'll go off into the back country with my friends for 7 or 8 hours, climbing 3,000-4,000 feet of vertical to ski down steep chutes or access wide open powder lines with nice cliffs to jump off of. I also own a banjar, knock of Gibson S.G. Special, a fender amp, I like to put it on reverb and try and mimic the Guitarist from Beach House, but for the most part I play my own version of garage rock, its like just fun and stuff. Well thats about it for now. I read books of poetry, books on avalanche safety, make marinara sauce from scratch(with fresh, (ripe tomatoes not canned), and often dream of living life in an endless winter, with only a few weeks in between heliski/ back country trips, and riding on mountain off piste aswell, too many places to ski still that have been touched.

PHILOSOPHY

"dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die today"- James Dean. "stay gold pony boy"- The Outsiders

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I once volunteered at a cancer benefit in AZ, grilling burgers outside for 10 hours in the hot Peoria, Sun. 110 degrees to be exact. I love to help latin americans get jobs at restaurants, I'll often translate for them. Immigrants are often more focused on their dreams than trustafarians, lol. I often play music at open mic here in Telluride, I'll cover anything from the english beat, to the black keys or even mariachi standards.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

dont have any yet from this website, but Ive slept on friends couches before when I used to compete on the Freeskiing World Tour. One time I stayed here in Telluride, my friend Sofia let my dad and I crash in her living room, it was awesome, she was so nice. We skied 2ft of fresh pow at the comp. I hucked this 25 ft cliff in to 4ft of pow, and reappeared to fist pump my way to the finish line. It was so sick.

Interests

We have a saying here in Telluride, "came to ski, stayed for the library" and that about somes up what Im into.
