About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To create a life worth remembering...to explore, to discover, to inspire and be inspired.
ABOUT ME
Hey everyone...thanks for taking the time to look over my profile. I have lived in San Francisco for the past two years - and I am loving it! I am originally from the beautiful state of Wisconsin and have lived all over the country - New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Oregon, Colorado, and now California. While having lived a number of places, I have also worked in many various fields - in theatre, at summer camps, within schools, and in faith communities.
Besides being an actor, educator, faith leader, and camp director, I love the outdoors and spent the past two decades connected to an amazing boys' camp in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, Red Arrow Camp. It was at Red Arrow that I discovered and developed my love of hiking, canoeing, camping, and cycling. I have taken this passion and explored places all over the world - meeting amazing people, learning about new cultures, and expanding my understanding and experience of my sacred connection with all of creation.
I also love to sing and dance - I love musical theatre and have performed with a variety of theatre companies. I love art - I will definitely take you to a museum when you visit or go to a museum when I am visiting. I am a board game geek...I love playing and teaching high-level thinking, strategic board games! I love learning and truly find excitement in following where my curiosity leads. Basically, I love my life and feel blessed each and every day!!!
PHILOSOPHY
"Life isn't about finding yourself, it's about creating yourself." What do you want to be? What do you want to do with your life? Create someone you are proud of, create someone you respect, create someone you love.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am excited to visit new places all over the world! I value the Couchsurfing community and have loved staying with folks in Paris and Chile. They made my experience so much more meaningful.
I also look forward to having visitors to San Francisco, as well! Back in Wisconsin, I hosted folks from all over the world and participated in the local Couchsurfing community. I hope to do the same in SF.

Music, Movies, and Books
I really love all kinds of music. The truth is I will listen to anything as long as it doesn't glorify drugs, sex, or violence and doesn't use unneeded vulgarity and cursing.
I love movies...escaping into another world for a couple of hours. Like music, I love most movies. Not a fan of horror, mostly because they're gross. And a huge fan of superhero movies!!!
I never seem to have time to read, but I love listening to audiobooks as I travel. I love listening to the Hunger Games series, The Great Gatsby, Into the Wild, All The Light We Cannot See, Bossy Pants (Tina Fey), and Dare to Lead (Brene Brown)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Probably the most challenging trips I have taken are trekking to the Base Camp of Mount Everest in Nepal and the Patagonia in Chile with one of my best friends. Truly amazing!
Teach, Learn, Share
I tend to do exactly what "proper, Western culture" says not to do...I bring up politics and religion. Always an interesting conversation. As a gay man, I feel I have a unique understanding of how spirituality and sexuality intersect. We all can teach one another, we all can learn from one another, we all can share our lives with one another!
What I Can Share with Hosts
A sense of humor. A deep passion for religion and politics, with a focus on social justice. A love of the arts, a sing-a-long or a dance party. High-energy and an adventurous spirit.
