ABOUT ME

Hi! I'm Abby and I'm 20 years old and a college student. I'm new to CouchSurfing, but I love to travel (since I'm on here, right?). I realized my passion for people and travel on a visit to Thailand in the summer of 2010.. Soooo I decided to switch my major to Political Science and History and hope to be a Human Rights Lawyer and spend my time traveling around the world helping people in other countries! I love getting to know people and seeing how I can influence their life for the best-even just getting to know someone, hanging out and laughing is a great time! I'm excited to meet more people and learn about different cultures : )

PHILOSOPHY

"You live, you learn." I feel like you only live once, so you better learn all you can from your mistakes and then get right back out there and keep learning more.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I am just a traveler on CS because I live in University Housing and can't host anyone, but I'd be happy to show you the sights around my town if you ever come to visit!

Intereses

I'm kind of a nerd, so I love to read books a lot. I'm also a big movie buff, I like hanging out with friends, listening to music, and basically anything chill. I'm a pretty laid back person so I'll try anything once usually. I also love elephants! I have a huge collection of elephant paraphernalia and I finally got to ride one on my trip to Thailand.

[MOVIES] Like I said, I'm a huge movie freak, so I think I'll just give you a short list of my top 5 movies as well as a few others I enjoy. 1. Gladiator 2. Pan's Labyrinth 3. V for Vendetta 4. Shawshank Redemption
5. Braveheart. Some other movies I really like are: American Beauty, Star Wars (all of them), 10 Things I Hate About You, and most Disney movies.

[Music] My favorite band of all time is Safetysuit, but I like a lot of different artists. I don't really like a lot of bands enough to buy entire albums from them so my music collection is scattered with random songs from random people. Some of my favorites are: Adele, Flobots, The Goo-Goo Dolls, Michael Bolton, Bruno Mars, and OneRepublic.

[Books] Harry Potter, , Velvet Elvis, Hunger Games, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, and tons more. I love to read so it's hard for me to pick favorite books.
