About Me

I love to learn new cultures and love to cook and discover the new flavors that different cuisines have around the world. I grew up in Chicago where my family enjoyed good home cooking, and had the opportunity to learn the cuisine that I enjoy cooking most, Peruvian Cuisine.

After college I worked in Sales for many years before going off to Culinary School in Lima, Peru, my parents native country. There I learned a whole new way of bringing flavors together and the passion for food our country had. I am now a private chef looking to explore new ideas for creation of a restaurant concept in my hometown of San Diego.

Aside from cooking and travel, I love all sports, the competition to be the best is always entertaining whether I'm watching it on TV or living it out myself as I am highly competitive in all that I do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've heard of couch surfing from my cousin in Peru and she mentioned it was a great way to meet new people and get some good insight as to the things to do around the area that you're visiting.

This trip in particular I will be traveling through Mexico and learning new concepts, recipes and unique touches from the top restaurants in the area and it would be very helpful to be able to have someone knowledgable about the chefs in the neighborhoods that I'll be traveling through for some guidance.
