Hey!
We have a modest, easygoing home in Sunningdale / Bloubergstrand, about 15km from the CBD of Cape Town. It’s a very popular place to visit, and we often have friends and family staying with us, so it’s not always possible to host Couchsurfers—but when we can, we really enjoy it! Unfortunately, we’re only able to host for 2–3 nights at a time.

There’s a guest room with a great queen-size bed, and public transport nearby, making it fairly easy to get into town and explore.

I work for myself, so my schedule can be flexible at times, although we do sometimes need to work away from home. If it works out, I’m happy to show guests around—especially the winelands, as getting there without a car can be tricky. If we’re not around, we’d definitely encourage you to get out and experience as much of Cape Town as possible.

We enjoy hosting in a social, shared way—cooking meals together, swapping stories, and unwinding at home after a full day of exploring (and work on our side too).

That said, this is a shared home, not a free hotel 😊 Guests are expected to contribute in some way—whether that’s helping with meals, bringing something to share, or simply being present and engaged.

Also, just a heads-up: in South Africa (especially the Western Cape), water and electricity can be scarce and expensive, so we really appreciate mindful use (short showers, switching off lights, etc.).
