About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To have a decent place for the nice guys in our band to sleep while on a short tour. And I mean, super nice guys. Embarrassingly nice, really. Like... Brittish Tea Time Nice.

ABOUT ME

I run a Musician Collective in Cleveland, Ohio. The Davenport Collective. We have tons of bands, too. The Dreadful Yawns, Herzog, Voxcaster, The Volta Sound, The New Lou Reeds... and way more. Too many, you know?

But I organize that n stuff. Plus running the Volta Sound. And we are going on tour soon. Just 4 of us. The 4 nicest, quiet, easy dudes. We prefer education and life n stuff like that. Parties are great n all but really, we just need some rest and a decent conversation.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that everyone is probably right about everything. Try really hard to understand where everyone is coming from, what perspectives we all hold and why. Sometimes people don't like that I try to see things from the other point of view. I understand that, too.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I don't participate as of yet. I just signed up and have no idea how this works. Please don't hurt us!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

none. Like ever. Have never couch surfed in my life. Neither has anyone else in the band.

Interests

Knowledge, life stories, science, drones (songs, not warplanes, although, those are kinda cool too when they're not spying or shooting at people), the Universe and all the stuff in it.

Music, Movies, and Books

People's History books, non-fiction is awesome, so are documentaries. For music, I don't prefer any genre, I just listen for honesty and soul. If it's honest and shares the soul, it's good music. But anyway, I do like Spacemen 3, Kanye West, Chemical Brothers, Love and Rockets, Dandy Warhols, Apocalypse Now, Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, Timequake, Bronson.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lived for one entire year on the DMZ less than 1k south of North Korea. I don't even know where to begin on how amazing that whole thing was. Most bizarre country in the history of the humans.

Teach, Learn, Share

"Your pain is the breaking of the shell of your understanding" - Khalil Gibron

When you feel hurt, lonely, sad or angry, take a moment to consider what it was that you thought was supposed to happen and why you are upset that it didn't happen the way you wanted it. It's almost always a simple changing of your understanding of how the world works. And once you understand that, you regain your calmness and logic.
