CURRENT MISSION
ABOUT ME
Everything changed the day I figured out there was exactly enough time for the important things in life.
PHILOSOPHY
When I do good, I feel good. When I do bad, I feel bad.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have slept on my fair share of couches in the last few years. It's been wonderful. When I have a place of my own, it will be grand to return the favors.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I moved back to America and refused to get an apartment to make me stay in one place. I slept on lots of couches. My car was the greatest of homes. Now I'm living in an off-the-grid development in the mountains of Panamá. We (unfortunately?) have a hospitality service set up, so I cannot accept couchsurfers for free, but you can check out The Camp at Kalu Yala to come visit.
Interests
I like 120mm film, political world maps, keeping blueprints in pencil, climbing large rocks, and riding bikes down mountains.

Music, Movies, and Books
Screens have never really been my thing, but my favorite movie is The Brother's Bloom. I love books. Public libraries are my favorite and I believe one of our most underutilized resources.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A few summers back I moved to the jungles of Panamá and was a sous chef in a farm-to-table kitchen feeding 50 people. We ate extremely well considering the "indigenous huts, snakes in the produce, and no running water" situation. It was a glorious thing.
I feel in love with that jungle and have now made it home, though my work is now in photography instead of culinary shenanigans.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to capture the Milky Way with your manual camera while staying up late staring at the stars. I can explain off-the-grid systems with crinkled architecture scribbles. I can recommend rail lines where you are able to dangle your legs off the side of train cars while watching gorgeous landscapes speed by. Life is good. There is a lot to learn.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can show you around Los Tres Brazos, teach you about permaculture, show off my favorite swimming holes, or climb mountains.
