i've lived in california most of my life and traveling is how I get to see other places! I often travel alone and use CouchSurfing to find fellow solo adventurists to travel around with :)

activities: concerts are my favorite thing, i'm open to seeing pretty much any live music (best concert experience, hands down, elvis costello!); museums, reading at coffee shops, walks, having a few drinks at a bar with good company, dance parties with friends. i also love hiking, bike riding, and yoga, and have recently started camping again.

interests: horror movies, especially zombie flicks. science, animals (my pet snake Randy and kitty Fizzle), amateur photog, learning about art and architecture

Music, Movies, and Books

my favorite book of all time is ender's game.
i like heinlein, pahlunuik, stephen king, tom robbins, david sedaris...and pretty much any book about a future dis-utopian society.

movies: i don't watch movies that much but i used to love anchorman, planet terror, dawn of the dead, and lately, cabin in the woods

tv: the x-files, how i met your mother, flight of the conchords, it's always sunny in philadelphia, 30 rock

music: costello, the strokes, king Kahn, and anything that forces me to dance. i LOVE live music, especially punk, rock and blues shows

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Favorite adventure: so many...caving alone in Guatemala, spelunking in Belize, paragliding in Interlaken, getting lost in shanghai...

Most amazing things i've seen: jewel cave in the black hills south dakota; valley of the kings in egypt, and i think i fell in love when i saw notre dame cathedral
