I am a 37 year old Canadian permanent resident from the UK. I have worked a variety of jobs, working as a freelance illustrator and photographer for the majority of my life alongside a career as a professional chef in fine dining for 15 years. I am now transitioning my career into the tattoo industry.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have to travel to satisfy my current tattoo apprenticeship, and so I am looking for fun and safe people to host me while I learn as my learning doesn't yet cover the cost of hotels and hostels. I am hoping that when I am set up, I will be able to offer the same through this platform to others in similar situations.

Music, Movies, and Books

Musically, I like a little bit of all genres, from classical to black metal. I grew up on 90's grunge and metal, but have an equal soft spot for jazz and hip-hop.
My list of favourite movies are never ending, but faves include Akira, There Will Be Blood, Blade Runner, The 5th Element, Whiplash.
Books, my favourite author is China Meiville, but I am currently reading Seveneves, love the Leviathan Wakes series, and will consume pretty much anything sci-fi. Weirdly, one of my favourite books is To Kill A Mockingbird.
