About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To boldly go where millions have gone before, but entirely in my own way.
ABOUT ME
I'm a very friendly and very curious person. I can stay up until 5am talking if the conversation flows and the company is good.
When it comes to traveling, I like to see a lot and experience a lot. I'm more likely to want to get up early to see the sunrise than stay out drinking really late, but I'll do that too if the company is good and I didn't walk my feet off already. I love palm trees and water, but oddly enough I don't really like to swim. Museums are amazing, but they need to be balanced by walking along the beach or through a park.
Right now I'm beginning course work at the Universidad de Extremadura in Caceres, Spain. The Spanish lifestyle appeals to me a great deal. Back home, you don't see whole families walking through the central square, going for tapas and meeting up with people at 10pm. I love the energy and the appetite for life here.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am just getting started, but I look forward to making connections with CSers wherever my path leads me, and I'm excited about the idea of showing someone my city and my home when I get back from my foreign study.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've stayed with friends, and friends of friends, while traveling in the States, but not through CS.

Music, Movies, and Books
To Kill a Mockingbird is one of my favorite books, and I like the movie too.
Other movies: Amelie, Shelter, Office Space, Love Actually
Books: When I'm traveling I love to read Bill Bryson. Harry Potter is a guilt pleasure.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I did a community organizing project in an economically depressed neighborhood, and it was truly amazing to see the relationships that were built out of it, and how much value those new friendships brought to the community.
Recently I saw a rainstorm sweeping across the Extremaduran landscape, followed by a complete and beautiful rainbow. Simply breath taking.
Teach, Learn, Share
When speaking a foreign language and you're not very confident in your skills, the best thing to do is to talk more, not less. Don't be afraid of making mistakes, assume that you will make them and enjoy learning from them. Work on getting your meaning across, not how you're saying it.
