HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've only hosted a couple of times and been hosted a couple of times, but this entire concept is awesome.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I really havent participated much, but each time that I have, has been special and felt serendipitous. I love the culture of CS because it encourages the sharing of experiences--and I so highly prize connecting with others.

兴趣

My enduring interests are art and all things related, yoga, education, Montessori, nannying, childcare, music, southern culture, Louisiana culture, dance and movement, spirituality, shooting clay pigeons with shotguns,...,etc. My specific interests within art mostly center around painting, figure drawing, illustration, puppetry, installation, photography, printmaking, sculpture, murals,...,etc. Currently, I am interested in blowing out and decorating Easter eggs, kickboxing, and sneaking vegetable purees into cookies.

I am really digging on a lot of local music lately--Theresa Andersson, Engine, Gashcat, AJ Haynes, Ghostfoot, Riverwolves, The Peekers, The Big Positive, etc. I have a deep and abiding love for too many genres to name so I'll just say that I love music as a whole. I haven't been watching many films lately, but off the top of my head my favorite movies are Amelie, Everything is Illuminated, Short Circuit....and a lot of others not on my mind. Same with books...The Girls of Atomic City, Le Petit Nicolas, The Bell Jar. I am currently reading Tracker by Tom Brown Jr.

I have a lot of specific art skills--if you'd like help with drawing or painting then that is probably the easiest thing to name. If you would like to learn about anything else, just ask. I can teach you about Montessori and all the unique aspects, I can teach you about children and discuss my general methods when teaching and nannying. Oh and I still remember a lot of Ballet and know a fair amount of yoga.
