I am a British-Canadian student living currently in Waterloo, Ontario while finishing my degree in Computer Science. I am living with my boyfriend, Jonathan, who has just finished his BSc, and is continuing into Optometry in September. I was in California for 8 months on a co-op term, and in that time, my boyfriend and I would meet up in various cities around the US, including Chicago, New York, San Francisco, and New Orleans. Now that I'm back, we've been continuing our trend of travelling because we enjoy doing it together and seeing new places!

We've tried many different accommodations while travelling, and Couchsurfing is one we have yet to experiment with. We think it would be a great opportunity to meet new people who have a genuine interest in connecting with the guests they host for. We also acknowledge this would allow us to do more travelling more often on a budget since accommodation tends to be expensive otherwise.
The more places we can travel to, the better, especially if we get to meet cool, new interesting people!

Intereses

My interests include programming, reading, video games, (and of course) travelling. Jon's interests include learning languages (he's currently trying to be proficient in Spanish), and he's trying to learn some programming as well to try and impress me. Sometimes it works. And he of course loves travelling as well.

I've worked in Leysin, Switzerland for a co-op term, which was an amazing experience. It was also a great opportunity to travel around Europe.
Jon says his most amazing thing was travelling alone to Spain for two weeks surviving without speaking a word of English to the locals. He says it was one of the most liberating and rewarding experiences in his life
