I live in a teensy berber town in Morocco at the moment and it can be very boring around here but luckily I have a vivid imagination and am always writing or reading or thinking up big plans for the future. I love to see new places and take every chance I get to hop on a plane and explore but really there is no place like California. I miss my family too much and I have to go back every chance I get.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm grateful for the gained perspective and bits of joy all these likeminded nomads bring me.
There is no end to my interests. I wish I had a little more natural talent.
Music, Movies, and Books
I'm on an Oliver Sacks kick at the moment and am reading Island of the Colorblind. I love anything written by David Sedaris. I like the ritual of reading a newspaper and doing a crossword with an am coffee though I rarely do it.
Music, where to begin?
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sometimes I think back to my late teens/early twenties and how fearless I was in my travels, having no money, and finding work in countries where I didnt speak the language, always making friends on the road. That was a pretty amazing time. Even now, just a few years later, I'm far too hesitant and self aware to take the same kind of risks as I did before.
