Overview
About Me
I have been a part of the Couchsurfing community for quite a long time, hosted and surfer a lot in my twenties. Now I am living in Denver with my husband and daughter and am active in the community when and as I can be.
I am pretty easy going and can easily be convinced into doing almost anything, which has welcomed many adventures into my life. I love a good night out, but can also be very introverted and enjoy quieter days as well. Most people who know me well in CS communities find me to be bubbly and energetic, but I tend to feed off of other people's energy. Want to know more? Let's get together.
I organized and led two of the first Boston Couch Crash events and made countless amazing friends around the world and I will always be thankful to CS for that. The website has definitely changed over the years but the people still make it wonderful.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Surfed in Europe, South India, Ukraine, and in America, and I also have hosted in the U.S. a bunch all over Boston and Denver. Now I don't host as much since the pandemic, but happy to show you around the Salt Lake City area.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I studied for a semester in Viterbo, Italy, one of the greatest experiences where I discovered the wonderful world of Couchsurfing! After I lived in Dublin and worked for the summer, where I found out about the social aspects of couchsurfing which have been just as amazing over the years. I loved Italy for the beautiful adventures and Dublin for the beautiful people :)
In 2017 I joined a group which I found through Couchsurfing called the Spicy Road project and we traveled all over India together. It was an unforgettable experience, where I hitch-hiked for the first time -- loved every minute of it.
Interests
I enjoy seeing live music, hiking, biking, reading, watching and discussing films, eating vegetarian food, photography, volunteering, community advocacy, swimming, kayaking, soaking in the sun, exploring new places, laughing, swinging, talking, embracing my inner nerd and doing my best to enjoy the simple things in life.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I love seeing live music, in the last few years have enjoyed Fruition, Lettuce, Motet, Pretty Lights, Beats Antique, The Floozies, DirtWire, Polish Ambassador and the PickPockets were our favorite band when we lived in Utah for a while. Also enjoy indie music jams like the Shins, Tally Hall, Metric, Cavetown, Santigold, Say Anything, Miike Snow, Phantogram, and Cake would be on the top of my list.
Movies; Ghost World, Pulp Fiction, Emperor's New Groove, City of God, Sound of Music, my taste varies immensely. I Heart Huckabees, The Visitor, Juno, It's a Wonderful Life, The Last King of Scotland, Rear View Window, Donnie Darko, Amores Perros, V for Vendetta, Fast Food Nation, Being John Malkovich, Monty Python and The Lion King. Any movies that make you think. Or sing -- or chuckle.
Books; Atonement, Kite Runner, Persepolis, Three Junes, Life of Pi, What Is The What, Running with Scissors, Paper Towns, A Thousand Splendid Suns, The Circle, and graphic novels. Books are absolutely amazing because each person perceives it in their own individual way.
Here's a poem that has always stayed with me;
It doesn't interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing.
It doesn't interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dreams, for the adventure of being alive!
I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own, without moving to hide it or fade it or fix it.
I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own, if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful, to be realistic, or to remember the limitations of being human.
It doesn't interest me if the story you are telling me is true. I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself, if you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul. I want to know if you can be faithful and therefore be trustworthy.
I want to know if you can see beauty even when it is not pretty every day, and if you can source your life from God's presence. I want to know if you can live with failure, yours and mine, and still stand on the edge of a lake and shout to the silver of the full moon, "Yes!"
It doesn't interest me where you live or how much money you have. I want to know if you can get up after the night of grief and despair, weary and bruised to the bone, and do what needs to be done for the children.
It doesn't interest me who you are, how you came to be there. I want to know if you will stand in the center of the fire with me and not shrink back.
It doesn't interest me where or what or with whom you have studied. I want to know what sustains you from the inside when all else falls away. I want to know if you can be alone with yourself, and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I studied in Italy I lived in a building twice as old as my home country. I also made a human, and she's the coolest human.
