About Me

I love adventures, exploring new places and getting to know people. I prefer hidden gems and unique places with local character over crowded touristic spots, and deep conversations over shallow small talk.

On top of the interests listed below, I am curious about almost anything, so if you have something you're passionate about I'm sure we can keep the conversation going :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music -- my passion for music spans many genres, with most-listened to artists belonging to rock, electronica, jazz, some rap. Recently I've been on a sort of americana/blues bend. I appreciate some ethnic-inspired music as well, such as the Norwegian band Wardruna.

Movies -- my favorite films include Dead Man, Jordan Peele's horrors and Fight Club. Some recent films I've enjoyed were Everything Everywhere All At Once, Anora and Flow.

Books -- inter alia: The Way of the World (Nicolas Bouvier), The Narrow Road to the Deep North, Blindsight, Ender's Game, Waiting for Godot, Demian. The Discworld opus has a special place in my heart.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Camped on wild beaches and swam with turtles in Okinawa 🐢🌊

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach any languages that I know - I have experience working as a Polish and English teacher.
I have planned trips to Japan professionally, so I would be happy to advise on the best places to visit there.

Knowledge about any of the countries I've visited or anything I've studied or am otherwise interested in. I'd be happy to help around the house a bit or cook a meal, too!
