Hi, I’m Adam. I’m 20 years old and I’m from Slovakia. I study mathematics, which I really enjoy because I like solving problems and understanding how things work. In my free time, I like doing sports — especially football and running. I’m also interested in geopolitics and geography, and I enjoy watching Formula 1 and NHL. I love reading books, especially about politics and food. Also I’m a very good cook👨‍🍳. I also like juggling and talking to people about different topics. I’m on Couchsurfing mainly because I love meeting new people and making connections. For me, traveling isn’t just about seeing new places — it’s about the people you meet along the way. I enjoy socializing, sharing stories, and talking about pretty much anything, from everyday life to deeper topics like geopolitics, sports, or current events. I think everyone has something interesting to share, and I like learning from different perspectives. Making new contacts while exploring the world makes every trip more meaningful and memorable.

I enjoy music, movies, and books, each in their own way. When it comes to music, I listen to a bit of everything, but rock has always been my favorite because of its energy and emotion. In terms of movies, I’m especially drawn to documentary series about sports, like Drive to Survive, which show the human stories, pressure, and passion behind competition. However, books are what I value the most. I read a lot about geopolitics and local politics, as I like understanding how the world works and how decisions shape our lives. I also enjoy biographies of famous athletes and books about food, especially when they reveal personal journeys and lessons about discipline, ambition, or culture. I prefer books that teach me something new — ones that expand my knowledge and perspective, rather than just entertain.

One amazing thing I’ve done was organizing a school-wide event that was inspired by the Olympic Games. It was a massive project that brought together students from all grades to compete in a variety of disciplines — from classic sports like running and football to fun team challenges that encouraged creativity and teamwork. I took charge of planning the schedule, coordinating volunteers, and making sure everything ran smoothly throughout the day. On top of that, I filmed the entire event, capturing exciting moments, interviews, and highlights to create a memorable videos for the whole school to enjoy afterward. Seeing everyone’s energy and school spirit come alive made all the hard work completely worth it.

Teaching other people some new skill is a thing I enjoy a lot. I like teaching others practical things, especially cooking. I can show people how to make delicious pancakes, crispy schnitzels, or juicy chicken breasts in different styles — with butter, herbs, mustard, or even Indian spices. Besides cooking, I can also teach how to juggle three balls, which is always fun and a great way to practice focus and coordination. I love sharing my experiences with running too, whether it’s about training, staying motivated, or building the right mentality to keep improving. For me, teaching isn’t just about showing what I know — it’s about inspiring others to try, learn, and grow alongside me.
