About Me
Hello there! My name is Adam Clarke. I'm a 28 year old from Leeds in England who recently quit his job to travel Europe by bicycle for the Spring and Summer.
I'm cycling the Eurovelo route and intend to visit Holland, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Italy and France. I'm just hoping I have time to see them all!
I really like the great outdoors, meeting new people and seeing new places. I also love music and football.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've signed up to couchsurfing so I can meet new people while I'm travelling on a budget. I would love to know your favourite places in the areas you live!

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a huge music fan and you can often find me listening to music, buying records, attending gigs and creating playlists for me and my friends. I wouldn't like to pigeon-hole myself too much but I guess I would say that my favourite type of music is indie. The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, The Velvet Underground and Beach House are some of my favourite bands. But I'm always keen to hear new stuff and take on people's recommendations!
If I'm not listening to music, there's a good change you will find me reading. I like to balance my reading between fiction and non-fiction. I love reading about politics and travel. This box is asking me for my favourite books so if pressed I would say Stoner by John Willliams is up there. It's the only book I've immediately started to re-read after finishing. I'm also a fan of J.D. Salinger. He has a collection of short stories which I think are excellent. As with music, I'm always interested to hear what books other people enjoy reading!
I used to watch a lot of films but I must admit my finger has fallen somewhat off the pulse in recent years. But I really enjoyed Parasite when that came out. I like stuff in pretty much all genres.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I guess this is a pretty amazing trip that I'm embarking on! I would love to share parts of it with you :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm here to learn whatever I can from people. That might not be a skill, even just new perspectives excite me.
In terms of what I can teach you, how about changing a tyre!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share good conversations, games and whatever hosts need!
I'm new to Couchsurfing so perhaps I can fill this box out in more detail when I have a few more Couchsurfing experiences under my belt!
