Hi! My name's Adam Houlding and I'm venturing into the unknown. Currently, I am spending the winter in Albania.

My core skills include bar-tendering and cleaning - basically, I'm a lad who likes to keep himself busy. And whilst I cannot carry them with me, I have formal qualifications which I'd be glad to chat about.

I am always searching for adventure, especially if it involves awesome new people. For languages, I speak English and lousy French. My hobbies include literature, film analysis and distance trekking. Hardly an athlete but I certainly can walk the walk when required!

Overall, I hope to discover new ways of life while helping hosts to prolong my journey. I hope to stay in Albania for a while yet, but will eventually venture eastwards in the Balkans.

Some friends and acquaintances this was both a great way to meet people and, since I budget myself quite harshly, a cost-effective way to find a place to sleep. I have slept under the stars and in a petrol station, so a couch would be fantastic.

I am a cinemaphile, I love reading literature and have a fascination with old classics of any of the above.

An encyclopedic knowledge of cinema; anything about the country and its customs; a flurry of stories of my travels and, if curious, my life. It still has some going, but travelling is all about learning, isn't it.

Food, cleaning and a firm drink (for those without fear), as well as a willingness to learn new things, no-matter what! I also enjoy writing, but showcasing is after that firm drink.
