Hello World!

My name is Adam Osuchowski, I'm 25 years old, and love to explore the world and go on big adventures! In the summer I work and a Wildfire (Forest) Firefighter for the Ministry of British Columbia, which is exciting work that I love. This job affords me the opportunity to study and travel in the off season (September - April). I am currently working towards my undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at the University of British Columbia. I enjoy the studies, however it is taking me a while to complete my degree because I constantly take time off to travel, this year its New Zealand!!

I will be in New Zealand from January 11-April 25th. I will be hiking the Te Araroa trail, going Northbound. It is a 3,000km trails, I will try and hike all of it (30km a day everyday) in 100days. I start in Invercargill on the South Island on January 15th, and finish in Cape Regina on the North Island around April 20th. I will be mostly in the backcountry, spending most nights in my tent and in huts, however when I pop into towns along the way it would be great if I had a couch to crash on. I will be constantly moving Northbound, and won't stay in one place longer than one night, so one night is all I need! Very excited to meet all you Kiwi's, I've never been to New Zealand and I'm very much looking forward to my new, big adventure!
