To see and learn as much as I can about different people and cities as I travel across the U.S.
I'm an easygoing and fun-loving mid-western guy who's curious about all aspects of life. I am always on the hunt for something new and exciting to experience and share. Being open and honest is what I strive to be every day, and I definitely don't deal in absolutes. I love my family and my friends and am always looking to have a good time. I'm hoping to travel across the United States in the upcoming months before 2013 and see all I can see.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I haven't participated at all yet, but I can't wait to get started.
I really look forward to meeting new people and experiencing new and exciting things. I'm hoping that through CouchSurfing I can open my eyes to things I have never seen or done, and that I can do the same for other travelers. Living an active lifestyle is important to me and I dig hiking, biking, running, playing any and all sports, and doing anything in or around the water. I've lived on a lake my entire life and it is the ultimate way to live. Music is everything and I absolutely love listening to new and unique tunes, especially some metal. Most underrated music on the planet! I'm a big gamer and frequently lose my nights to marathon sessions. I also love to seek out beautiful and engaging films. I'm doing my best to learn how to cook...it's been slow going but I'm always ready to learn. A good brew is sometimes the best way to end a day and discovering a new beer is one of my favorite things.
Music, Movies, and Books
This list is too big to even attempt...maybe someday I will set a week aside to fill this out but for now you'll just have to ask me in person. Hopefully we can share some of our favorites and discover new ones.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The first time I saw the Arizona landscape I was completely blown away and it sparked something in me. I now want to see all the different natural splendors I can fit in to my life. Taking a tour through the mountains and forests of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico when I was a youngster was another eye-opening experience that I will never forget. White-water rafting and zip-lining on the New River in West Virginia was one of the most exciting and exhilarating things I have ever done. Key West was the ultimate party paradise and traveling there with friends to see the beautiful blue water was amazing. Going to the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah was an unforgettable experience. The community there was so inspiring and I met some great friends. The films were pretty good too. I also had the chance to volunteer at the Slamdance Film Festival which goes on at the same time and was able to see how one of these events works behind the scenes. I've had many an awesome moment in my life but I'm hungry for more.
